Porky Pig Market also specializes in making and selling Pork Sausages made at the Market.

The meat vendors also sells meat items that are hard to find or are specialty items like, pork and beef brains, cow tongue, and baby turkey wings.

Happening at the Market 

Phoenix Flies 2016

On March 5th, Phoenix Flies starts its 13th annual two week long series of events to showcase Atlanta’s Historic Resources through hundreds of free events presented by the Atlanta Preservation Center and their 85 Community Partners.

2016 Atlanta Streetcar St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You don’t have to travel to Savannah, Georgia to feel the green of St. Patrick’s Day. Just take the Atlanta Streetcar to the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, and if you don’t have green, we’ve got you covered. Together, we can all look for that elusive leprechaun with the pot of gold.

The Market will once again co-host the event along with the Streetcar.

Registration for the event will begin promptly at 12PM and end at 2:30PM. Register at either location:

School Tours

If your school is touring the APEX Museum or the King Center, the Sweet Auburn Curb Market is a wonderful place to have lunch. Reservations are suggested and they can be arranged by calling 404-659-1665.

The Municipal Market is a public market. What exactly does that mean?

Typically, a public market operates year-round, houses a selection of
individually owned shops or stalls, and day vendors.

With a focus on locally owned and operated businesses, they highlight the community’s culture, foods, and history.

More often than not, a public market prohibits chains and franchises; therefore providing a nurturing environment for entrepreneurial shops and startups.

Most function as non-profit or not-for-profit entities, are affiliated with the city or state they are located in, and are managed by a board of directors.

Once initially funded, public markets become self-sustaining. Your market (the Curb Market), has been in operation since 1918, and holds the unique position of being one of the continuously operating public markets in the country.
