Featured Merchants

Meat Vendors

What makes buying meats so unique at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market? Well there are many reasons:

  • Meat is high quality and fresh
  • Purchase only the amount that you need
  • Cut to customer’s specification

Porky Pig Market also specializes in making and selling Pork Sausages made at the Market.

The meat vendors also sells meat items that are hard to find or are specialty items like, pork and beef brains, cow tongue, and baby turkey wings.

It all comes down to personal service. There prices are also competitive and in most cases, lower than the grocery stores. What more can you ask for?

You also can order whole pigs starting at around 20 pounds and whole hogs starting around 100 pounds up. Call them and place your order.

We have three meat vendors in the market:

  • Country Meats 404-659-8785
  • D&J Meats 404-522-0973
  • Porky Pigs Market 404-222-0608

The Municipal Market is a public market. What exactly does that mean?

Typically, a public market operates year-round, houses a selection of
individually owned shops or stalls, and day vendors.

With a focus on locally owned and operated businesses, they highlight the community’s culture, foods, and history.

More often than not, a public market prohibits chains and franchises; therefore providing a nurturing environment for entrepreneurial shops and startups.

Most function as non-profit or not-for-profit entities, are affiliated with the city or state they are located in, and are managed by a board of directors.

Once initially funded, public markets become self-sustaining. Your market (the Curb Market), has been in operation since 1918, and holds the unique position of being one of the continuously operating public markets in the country.

Incubator, destination, food source, at the end of the day it’s YOUR MARKET! Visit often.

Thank you,
Pamela Joiner

You can reach out to individual vendors to see if they will accommodate your request.
Country Produce would be a place to call for produce. Then you can check with all the meat vendors.
