Happening at the Market
Wedding Reception
The Market hosted a wedding reception on April 2, 2016 for 200 guests. This event was catered by an outside company, but could easily have been done by the vendors in the Market. The Market was decorated with Italian lights, dance floor, and screens throughout. Grindhouse Killer Burger was decked out as the bar. The wedding planner and her team made the Market look very special for this life changing event and special day.
The bride and groom booked a DJ to play their favorite music. When it was all over, the guest showered them with rose petals and they left in a vintage 1966 Roll Royce.
Since this event was hosted after the Market closed, guest used the parking lot for parking; others took advantage of the Streetcar for transportation.
Hot Sauce in the City
Join celebrity judges at the Sweet Auburn’s Curb Market and vote for your favorite local, fresh, organic hot sauce! The event is called “ Hot Sauce in the City.”
The winning recipe will be bottled and sold at the Old Fourth Ward Business Association’s Fire in the Fourth Festival on May 21. All sales will benefit the Boulevard Food Co-Op.
Coffee with a Cop
April 13th from 10am – 12pm, the Market will host Atlanta Police Zone 5 Commander, Officers, and Fire & Crime Prevention team for coffee and conversation. There is no agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice your concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.

Children’s Birthday Parties
Are you like most parents thinking about where you can go for your child’s next birthday party. Are you tired of the same old places? Well the Market is a great place to have the party. Think about how easy it is to call the Sweet Auburn Bakery to have the cake or cupcakes baked. The book store can take care of the balloons, and we can work with you on the rest of the party magic. Luncheon/ Luncheon Meetings
The Market frequently hosts luncheon meetings for people from Downtown Atlanta, Grady Hospital, and Children’s Healthcare. If available, we can include our “Tour” that includes the rich history of the market. We have accommodated groups as few as five and as large as sixty. Groups may choose to have their lunch catered, or just take advantage of the delightful selection of options.
Bookclub
Why not coffee, tea, smoothie, or juice and a Book club meeting? We have the space, coffee, tea, smoothie, and juice, be the first to bring your Book club group.
